Caribou coffee is the second largest retailer organization in America. It has 432 coffee houses in 17 states of America. It has sixteen license based locations in the USA and two outside the country. Headquarter of the Caribou coffee is situated in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. In September 28, 2005, it became a publicly traded company and arcapita has majority of caribou stock. It continues follow the Islamic laws in business dealing. Caribou coffee is restricting dealing with alcohol, gambling, and pork products. Caribou coffee was sold to Atlanta-base company, but there headquarter is in Minneapolis Minnesota. Caribou serves gourmet coffees, premium loose-leaf teas, blended coffee/espresso drinks, and bakery goods. Caribou brands with clothing and accessories are available at many stores and the Company licenses some third parties to use the Caribou Coffee brand on food and merchandise. Caribou serves many specialty espresso drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas. Caribou also offer several non-coffee smoothies (strawberry banana, wild berry, pom-a-mango, and Acai).
In mid 2005, Caribou started marketing “Bou Gourmet,” which consisted of bakery items together with bagels, muffins, scones, cookies, and cinnamon roll popovers along with several sandwich and salad choices in choosing locations. Caribou coffee also offers a selection of signature Caribou coffee-based beverages called "Wild Drinks”. Caribou has topped 41 other regular and decaffeinated Colombian and Kona coffees in tests performed for the December 2004 edition of Consumer Reports. Caribou Coffee partnered with General Mills to release granola bars that have real coffee in them. The largest beverage company in the world, Coca-Cola, will have a regional launch of its new iced coffee beverage, which is made with Caribou Coffee, on August 6, 2007 in Atlanta.
